KedeDuolBand

KedeDuol Band is a musical collaboration between Kenyan Afro-percussionist and singer Reagan Oduor Nyachieng'a and Danish violinist and singer Amalie Malmgren Asmild. The group was formed in Nairobi in 2016 through a cultural exchange and has performed in Sweden, Denmark, Kenya, and Uganda, showcasing a unique blend of Nordic violin and Afro-percussion rhythms. KedeDuol's music is a delightful combination of traditional Kenyan melodies and original compositions inspired by Kenya's diverse cultures and languages.
Reagan Nyachieng'a, known as Reagan Afro-percussion, is a talented and charismatic musician and percussionist from Kenya. He has performed in various countries, including Italy, Denmark, Norway, Lithuania, Tunisia, and East Africa. Reagan's use of traditional Kenyan percussion music inspires children to express themselves positively, learn about different cultures, and collaborate through the power of music.
Amalie Malmgren Asmild, a Danish folk musician and storyteller, has a deep passion for her craft. Growing up in a family of musicians and storytelling, she debuted as Denmark's youngest storyteller at the Moesgård Storytelling Festival at just 11 years old. Amalie's performances are a beautiful fusion of music and storytelling, captivating children and adults alike. Amalie is an active member of the M-Tafsiri Africa organization in Kenya, participating in various projects that empower and inspire youth and children to express themselves through music and the arts.
The KedeDuol band has been on tours in Denmark, Kenya, Uganda, and Sweden, sharing their music with schools, organizations, and social projects.
